Useful loop!

I may actually have to steal this and rip a few sounds out of it...

Love what you did with the saws!

This is awesome! To fix the empty bit, I find that it can be easy to use a very low-bass-buzz...if you're unsure of what notes to use, putting in the lowest possible zone can make the track a little more forgiving, and still fill it out nicely.

Good test.

Again, you show ability to compose...you need to play with some mastering to complete the atmosphere. On this one, I'd run the whole track through a flanger, and probably replace the lead instrument with a real sample, instead of the 8-bit sound effect.

Other than that, pretty listenable!

Not bad!

You invited me to view some of your other tunes, so here I am! This is well-composed, I must say. Some editing notes: The track is (and I can't believe I'm saying it) too clean! Try adding some reverb and maybe some chorus on the master track and see if it doesn't treat your ears a little nicer...just my own advice!

Not bad to start!

My first FL track wasn't nearly so good! I've since moved on to more live recording, but I've done the hours in front of the grey grid, so I know what went into this...

tay2von responds:

Yeaa man, lmao everyone has that first song they created using programs.... But the main thing that mattters is as long as you get good at it, and try to get better.

Great command of the genre!

You do this very well! Keep it up!

What was this?

There's nothing here to really comment on! Perhaps I'm just missing the subtle nuance of atonal minimalism, but really...

Simple...

You've mixed this well, but I feel like you're just following the beaten path. It just doesn't stick out. I think that a valuable question every artist has to ask themselves is; If you wanted to request this song, but didn't know the name, how would you tell the DJ what to play? If you can't give an answer, you have no hook.

Dumami responds:

This was a request for someone and they liked it. I have plenty of other tunes if you want to listen.

Good start...

You need a lead-line. Toss in a high-pitched instrument, like a flute or electric guitar to round this out. Other than that, it's just repetition. Like listening to a Bob Dylan guitar line, without Bob doing any singing. Even HE knew enough to pick up a harmonica when that happened!

Timodeus responds:

Yeah... I have a tendency of not making lots of starts to songs and never actually finishing anything. I'm not so new, but I still don't reeeeeaaalllllyy know what u mean by lead-line

Well done...

Nothin' to complain about here! Not even my type of music, but I can appreciate the artistry!
